微信新表情上线，“裂开”用英语咋说？

微信又出新动作了，新上线的六款“灵魂表情包”，一经推出就上了热搜。“打工人”纷纷表示扎心了，这不就是“打工”的日常写照么……其实今年上半年，微信的表情符号也更新了一波，下面我们就顺便来看下它们对应的英文：

吃瓜 Onlooker

吃瓜的字面意思是eating watermelon，微信官方对这个表情的翻译是Onlooker（看客）。在英语中还有一个比较接近的说法是grab popcorn（准备好看热闹），还可以灵活的说成“sooo excited！popcorns is ready！”“pass the popcorn。”（给我点爆米花，我们一起坐等好戏）

Literally, the emoji is called "eating watermelon", which is derived from the Chinese words "吃瓜群众" (the watermelon-eating masses).

The expression describes the mentality of onlookers who have no clue to the incident but feel satisfied for gossiping and commenting. It is comparable to the ubiquitous meme "grab popcorn" on other social media platforms.

加油 Go for it

这个表情就是很字面的意思了，微信官方翻译用的是 Go for it。

微信官方给的解释：With a red ribbon wrapped over head, a clenched fist and a pair of frowning eyebrows, the emoji vividly illustrates "come on" encouragement.

给歪果仁解释时还可以用Spare no effort / Go for broke / Get things done! / Go big or go home!

汗 Sweat

这个表情我们会经常用来形容：惊讶、尴尬、无奈、说不出话、无言以对的意思，会相对比较容易给歪果仁解释：

The embarrassed face with a drop of sweat is a good example of saying "so awkward" or "are you serious?" or ”You don’t say” or ”speechless”。

天啊 OMG

OMG这个表情来自于大热的美妆主播——李佳琦，他的一句“OMG！这也太好看了吧！买它！”就让无数美女心甘情愿掏腰包，或者是让某大牌口红一夜之间断货。“OMG”便是他的口头禅，现在已经被广大网友引用。

让我们来看看如何解释：

OMG, you can say “for real?” or “Jeez!” or “Holy cow”. Actually, it's a catch phrase for the popular livestreaming blogger Li Jiaqi, who is capable of selling huge amounts of beauty products on e-commerce platforms.

Emm

这个“面无表情”的表情，表示“无可奉告”、“不好说，保留态度”、“不予置评”的意思。微信官方的英文翻译是“Emm”。当然你可以跟外国小伙伴儿进一步解释：

The emoji means” Sorry, I take the fifth on that.” Or ”Sorry, no comment.”

社会社会 Respect

看到这个表情的时候，第一个容易想到的词就是“社会”，没想到微信也是这样解释的。社会社会是由之前的“社会我x哥”、“社会我x姐”等词演变而来的，主要为容对方很牛，有着社会大哥霸气的气场，能handle一切，一般人都不敢惹。

这个词解释起来略微复杂：

其实在美国人的口语当中也有类似表达，比如在美剧中我们会听到的"Game recognizes game"，意思是两个人互相敬佩，可以理解为“兄弟我敬你是条汉子”，或者是用最简单的"My man"，它可以表示“哥们你真心可以啊！”、“老铁，牛呀！”

旺柴 Doge

旺柴=旺财，这个表情来源于行走的表情包——柴犬。原型是一条名叫Kabosu的日本母柴犬，传神的表情令人忍俊不禁，本来只是呆萌的柴犬图片被网友们改图加上一些奇奇怪怪的词语，其无厘头的风格成为表情包界的宠儿，被冠以专有名词“Doge”。

这个表情已经风靡全球了，所以不难解释：

好的 No problem

这个表情微信官网的翻译是“No problem”，其实是“OK”比较可爱俏皮的一种表达方式，可以理解为我们常说的“好哒~”，所以，也可以给歪果仁解释的萌一些。

打脸 My bad

“打脸”一词也是源于网络，打脸通常表示“前后言行不一”，一般常被用作的固定句式，比如“啪啪打脸”、“被打脸”、“实力打脸”等等。

这个表情的来源，歪果仁们可能不太了解，需要好好解释：
